The Most Venerable Thach Tuor Age 70, ?? - Sunday February 17, B.E.2551/ C.E.2008, passed away Calmette State Hospital, Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia. Funeral and Memorial services take place at Wat Pun Phnom, north of Pochentong International Airport, Phnom Penh.

Ven. Thach Tuor worked with the heroic Ven. Ghanda Dhammo Kim Toc Chon in Kampuchea Krom.

He was arrested, imprisoned and severely tortured by the communist Vietnamese authorities i the 1980's. He was released in 1988. And later on, he sought safety in Cambodia, where he re-entered monkhood until his final breath on this earth. He never married.

Ven. Thach Tuor is a former Secretary General of Preah Trapeang Buddhist Provincial Headquarters.

He is a former English professor at the Son Vorng Buddhist College in Kampuchea Krom.

His whole life is for the Khmer nation and Theravada Buddhism.
