Top left: Mr. Tim Sakhorn on trial in the communist Vietnamese court. Mr. Tim Sakhorn is a former Buddhist Abbot of Wat Phnom Den North, Kirivong district, Takeo province, Kingdom of Cambodia and was forced against His will and Buddhist rule on June 30, 2007 by Cambodian Buddhist leaders, clergies and ruling authorities on charge of unraveling the 10,000-year friendship of the Vietnam-Cambodia. And on the same date, Abbot Indapanna Tim Sakhorn was secretly exiled to neighboring Vietnam.

A few months later, the ruling communist Vietnamese court sentence Mr. Tim Sakhorn to one year commencing his detained period for the same stated reason. The date of his release is unknown.

Top right: Mr. Tim Teang, father of former Abbot Indapanna Tim Sakhorn, where he and his family still live near Phnom Den North in Cambodia. Mr. Tim Sakhorn and his family were displaced to Cambodia in the late 1978-79 war between the Cambodian Khmer Rouge and the communist Vietnamese forces.

Mr. Tim Sakhorn entered Buddhist monkhood in Cambodia. Ven. Indapanna Tim Sakhorn promoted by the Buddhist Institution and Religious Ministry to be Abbot in the early 2000.

Many former prisoners in Vietnam had and continue to report of the same harsh treatment and condition after the release.

They have been living in Cambodia since 1979.

Vietnam militarily occupied Cambodia from the late 1978 through 1989 due to international pressure and in the run-up to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Cambodian king Ang Duong dispatched several letters to the French Emperor on the concerned status of Kampuchea Krom in the mid-1800s to no avail.

Kampuchea Krom transferred by colonial France on June 4, 1949 from the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam.
