អ្នកជំនាញ អ.ស.ប. ស្តីពីស្ថានភាពសិទ្ធិមនុស្សនៅកម្ពុជា បានសម្តែងកង្វល់យ៉ាងខ្លាំងអំពីការរឹតត្បិតលើប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយ សេរីភាពក្នុងការបញ្ចេញមតិ និងការចូលរួមក្នុងសកម្មភាពនយោបាយ នៅមុនពេលនៃការបោះឆ្នោតជាតិក្នុងខែកក្កដា ដោយអំពាវនាវឲ្យរដ្ឋាភិបាលជ្រើសរើសដើរតាមមាគ៌ាសិទ្ធិមនុស្ស។

The UN expert on the human rights situation in Cambodia has expressed serious concerns about restrictions on the media, freedom of expression and political participation ahead of a national election in July, calling on the Government to choose the path of human rights.

The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on Monday published a batch of communications held with the Cambodian government since June last year, showing that the international body has voiced its concern about a range of issues from the arrest of former CNRP leader Kem Sokha to the displacement of residents near the Lower Sesan II dam.

អង្គការការពារអ្នកសារព័ត៌គ្មានព្រំដែន (Reporters Without Borders, Reporters Sans Frontières) របស់បារាំងកាលថ្ងៃទី១៣ កុម្ភៈ បានចេញរបាយការណ៍មួយក្រោមចំណងជើងថា“ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា សារព័ត៌មានឯករាជ្យកំពុងស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភាពមហន្តរាយ”។ របាយការណ៍នេះ បានលើកឡើងពីប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយមួយចំនួនត្រូវរដ្ឋាភិបាលបិទ និងមួយចំនួនទៀតបិទទ្វារដោយខ្លួនឯង។ សកម្មភាពទាំងនេះ ត្រូវបានអង្គការការពារអ្នកកាសែតគ្មានព្រំដែនចង្អុលបង្ហាញថាជាការរៀបចំធ្វើឡើងដោយមនុស្សមួយក្រុមរបស់រដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា។

We, the undersigned civil society organizations (CSOs), call for the charges against three of Cambodia’s most prominent civil society leaders – Mr. Pa Nguon Teang, Venerable But Buntenh, and Mr. Moeun Tola – to be immediately dropped.[1] These baseless charges are clearly a form of intimidation and harassment, aimed at further silencing Cambodian civil society and human rights defenders.
