King Norodom Sihanouk dared to sign a joint letter requesting the Parliament, Senate and Government of the Republic of France to amend Law 49-733 of June 4, 1949, the status of Kampuchea Krom (Cochin China) in the French Union, if the Parliament, Senate and Royal Government of Cambodia agreed.
